ABSTRACT

The project objective is to book cinema tickets in online. the

Ticket Reservation System is an Internet based application that
that can be accessed throughout the Net and can be accessed by
anyone who has a net connection. This application will reserve
the tickets. This online ticket reservation system provides a website
for a cinema hall where any user of internet can access it. User is
required to login to the system and needs a credit card for booking
the tickets. Tickets can be collected at the counter and Watching
movies with family and friends in theatres is one of the best medium
of entertainment after having a hectic schedule. But all this excitement
vanishes after standing in hours in long queues to get tickets booked .The
website provides complete information regarding currently running movies
on all the screens with details of show timings , available seats. Ticket
reservations are done using credit card and can be cancelled if needed.
Our online tickets reservation system is one of the best opportunities for
those who cannot afford enough time to get their tickets reserved standing
in long queues. People can book tickets online at any time of day or night.
Our reservation system also provides option to cancel the tickets which are
reserved previously.

Introduction

Movie Ticket Booking System is concerned with booking a movie ticket from online by the customers.
This system is designed for the mass people who are very much movie going person. As we all know
movie is one of the big recreation options of our life .This online system allows users to select their shows,
book their tickets .This system confirmed them a ticket even before they reach at the movie theatres. The
system is very secured. There is password protected account system .There is Now showing movie section,
upcoming movie section and show-time section. Even without buying any ticket you can just go through
the website just to see what movie is showing or what movie is upcoming. You will also get to know the
details about the movie. Even this system is very much user friendly . Any user can operate this system
very smoothly.

Problem Introduction

1. Technical issues:

Online movie booking systems can sometimes experience technical problems, such as
slow loading times, website crashes, or difficulty processing payments. This can be
frustrating for customers and lead to lost sales for the movie theatre.

2. Incorrect information:
Sometimes, the information available on movie booking websites can be inaccurate,
such as outdated showtimes or incorrect ticket prices. This can lead to confusion and
disappointment for customers.

3. Limited availability:
Popular movies and showtimes can sell out quickly, making it difficult
for customers to find available tickets. Some online movie booking systems have
limited inventory, which can result in sold-out showtimes that are still listed as
available online.

4. Hidden fees:

Some online movie booking websites may charge additional fees,

such as convenience fees, that are not immediately obvious to
customers. This can make the ticket prices higher than what
customers expect and lead to dissatisfaction.

5. Security concerns:
Online movie booking involves sharing sensitive information, such as
 credit card numbers, with the booking website. This can raise concerns
about the security of the customer's personal and financial information.

6. Inconvenient cancellation policy:

Cancelling or changing tickets purchased online can sometimes be

difficult and may come with additional fees. This can lead to
frustration for customers who need to make changes to their plans.

Facility to store the information of new customer, different types of movie show timing, rates of
different types on show class etc.

Interest to develop a good user friendly website with many online transactions using a database
Facility to generate different reports, which are helpful for the management in decision making.
Facility to change user’s password account.
To increase my knowledge horizon in technologies like C#, SQL, CSS, HTML.
To gain good experience in C# before joining in a full time job. Online Movie Ticket Booking
System. To gain expertise using Data Grid, Data Set, Data Table, Data Adapter and Data Readers.
System should also provide accessories such as calculator, month viewer.
Additionally some display setting options can also be provided.

Scope 0f the project

Today the need of simplicity has driven application software programming to a new level. This
project is a transaction related information storing project which will be used by the various
multiplexes for online movie ticket booking through internet. Customers can view all currently
running movies and book their tickets for any specific date and show also customer can pay
online through credit card. This application has a user friendly interface so that the customer and
administrator can easily and efficiently use the software and its features.

The main purpose of this project is to provide a reliable, secure, efficient and user friendly environment to the
customers and management authorities. Also benefit to the customer with efficient and faster service.

The Project “Online Movie Ticket Booking System” as a wide scope as it is generalized software and can
be easily used in any ticket booking process system with little or no change. The Changes in software
can be easily accommodated. The addition and deletion of the modules in software can be easily
adjusted. This project has a lot of scope for further enhancement too. This project can save money and
efforts in managing the record, just a mouse click can make the task easy and faster.

Authentication processes. It allows users to create This module handles user registration, login,

This module promo video information about available movies, showtimes, theaters, and seating
arrangements. Users can search for movies based on genres, languages, locations, or specific
criteria. It also includes features like movie ratings, reviews, and trailers.

Seat Selection and Booking:

This module allows users to select seats for their preferred showtime and movie. It provides a
visual representation of the theater layout, indicating available and occupied seats. Users can
choose their seats and proceed with the booking.

Ticket Reservation and Payment:

This module handles the ticket reservation process. Users can reserve seats for a specific
showtime and movie, and then proceed to make payment. It integrates with payment gateways to
securely process transactions and confirm bookings.

Booking Management:
This module allows users to view and manage their bookings. They can access their ticket details,
cancel reservations, or modify booking information. It also provides options to download or print
tickets.
