which will be your highest grade at 100 points.

Technology Statement
Jeffersonville High School Code of Conduct states “Students are not permitted to display or
use radios, MP3, CD players, IPODS, electronic games, cell phones, or other such
electronic devices in classrooms during instructional class times.”

Technology is integrated into instruction in order to enhance education. However, it can

sometimes be a distraction when it is not used in its intended way. Cell phones, iPods, iPads,
and other electronics will not be permitted for use in the classroom unless teacher directed. We
will use your Chromebooks when we need electronics; however, if we are not using them for an
assignment, I expect them to be put away. Earbuds and headphones are not permitted for use in
the classroom. In the hallway, keep one ear free of earbud or headphone.

Passes
Students are urged to use the restroom and visit lockers during passing periods. If a student must
go to the restroom, he or she will use the classroom pass. If the classroom pass is in use, other
students may not exit the classroom. If a student has a medical condition which requires
frequent restroom breaks, a pass from the nurse is required.

**Students are limited to three passes out of the classroom per quarter. **

Seating
There will be a seating chart. If there is a problem with your assigned seat, please speak with
Mrs. Evinger privately to resolve the matter.

Food/Drink
There will be no eating in class. You may have bottled drinks.

Tardy Policy
Due to the school Tardy Policy, if you are tardy to class, which means you are not on the carpet
in my classroom, then you are tardy and will not be admitted to class without a pass. The time
and date will be checked.
I understand Mrs. Evinger’s classroom expectations and realize that there may be clarifications
on these expectations throughout the school year.

I have gone through the Jeffersonville High School rulebook and understand the rules and
policies presented in it.

Being on time to class is very important, and if I am put on escort, I realize that I will remain in
my assigned area and will follow the rules that pertain to my escort schedule.
