Lahar pop

Objective:
 To know what lahars look like
Materials:
 Balloon
 Mini Volcano Model
 Darts
 Strips of paper with questions
Instructions:
1) At a certain distance, players of the three teams will fall in a vertical line facing
the mini volcano with balloons on top.
2) The players would pop the balloons with darts within 5 to 6 meters.
3) Once the balloon is popped. The players will go to the lahar and find the question
to be answered
4) Each of the two first teams to finish will remove one member from the failing
team
Rules and Regulations:
 Members should stay within the shooting range. If not, then deductions will be
given to the team
 Players can have their own strategy on throwing the darts

The Great Escape (Round 2)
Objective:
 Discuss certain trivias about lahars
 Give mastery to the students with regards to lahar
Materials:
 Straw
 Strips of papers with questions and trivias
Stage 2: Obstacle 1
The Web
Instructions:
1. The members of the winning team will fall in line.
2. The number of members of each team should be equal to avoid bias.
3. There would be one facilitator for each of the two teams to throw questions.
4. The facilitator would ask 1 question per member. If the member answers the
question, he would cross the web and proceed to the second obstacle. If a
member failed to answer, the member would die (not proceed causing the
decrease of number).
Rules and Regulations:
 The player crossing the web must hold both his hands at his back and proceed
through the web
 Touching of the web is not prohibited
 Other members must not help the current player crossing the web
Stage 2: Obstacle 2
The duckwalk tunnel
Instructions:
1) The members who successfully crossed the web would duckwalk to the green
line indicating the finish line while chanting "Lahars travel 70km/h Faster,
Faster Run real quick!"

Rules and Regulations:


 If a member stops chanting, then she will die or won’t proceed to the next
obstacle
 The duck walk and chanting must not stop

Stage 3: Obstacle 3
Finding Cadavers
Instructions:
1) Remaining members must hold hands together
2) The members then will find hidden strips of paper with questions on it, on a
certain area
3) When the players found it, they must fall in line.
4) The first member must memorize the question and relay it to the members.
5) The last member must go to the facilitator and recite the whole question with
the correct answer
Rules and Regulations:
 The members must hold hands all when finding for the strips of paper, if a
member lets go, he is eliminated
 The last family to find the paper and recite it will lose two members.
