Praxis Core Analysis

Exam Requirements

I understand that I must complete and pass the Praxis Core Exam before continuing my

education at UNLV, NSC, or UNR to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Education. The passing

score for Reading is 156, for Writing is 162, and for Math is 150.

Exam Preparation

For this practice Praxis Core Exam, I did not study nor use the practice exams. I wanted

to see how much of my existing knowledge could handle the exams. I feel like now that I know

what the exams are like I know what to study and expect. I feel like the exams are not that hard,

but do require practice beforehand. I believe the links provided will help me practice for the real

Praxis Core Exam.

Exam Results

In math, I scored 75%, which means I am at the borderline of passing. For reading, I got

61%, which means it needs improvement. For writing, I scored 63%, which means I need

improvement.

Future Exam Preparation

Now that I have received my practice scores, I realize that I will need a lot of help to

make sure I receive a good grade on the Praxis Core Exam. I will prepare by using an online

program to help me study. I will also go to the library to read books that can give me examples

of problems and how to correctly answer them. If I am able to find any tutors that can help, I will

work with one.
