FOREIGN RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS

• SN Bose Scholars Program(USA)
Eligibility: Indian citizens currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters' degree
at a recognized institution of higher education and learning in
India.Applications are accepted through nominations/endorsements only.
The institute will soon be rolling out a notice for nomination through
departments.
Application deadline: October 31, 2018

• MITACS (CANADA)
Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate students (or combined
undergraduate/Master’s program) with one to four semesters remaining in
their program as of Fall 2019
CGPA Requirement: 8/10 or above
Application deadline: September 19, 2018.

• DAAD (GERMANY)
Eligibility: 5th or 6th academic semester of a 4-year Bachelor’s programme
or in their 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th academic semester of a 5-year integrated or
dual degree (Bachelor-Master) programme
CGPA Requirement: 8.5/10 or above
Application Deadline: 1 November, 2018

• NTU-India Connect Research Internship Programme (Singapore)

Eligibility: Open to Pre-final year graduates / undergraduates
Application Deadline: 1st November 2018 – 31st December 2018

• ISTernship summer program(Austria)

Eligibility: Bachelor’s and master’s students interested in basic research in
the fields of biology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics,
neuroscience and interdisciplinary areas, are encouraged to apply.
Application Deadline: Applications will open in Dec’18 and close in Feb’19.

• CALTECH SURF(USA)
SURF students have had the opportunity to conduct research under the
guidance of experienced mentors working at the frontier of their fields.
Eligibility: Complete the second semester or third quarter at your college or
university

COMPETITIONS
• Tata Social Enterprise Challenge: TATA Social Enterprise Challenge, is a

joint initiative by the TATA group and the Indian Institute of Management
Calcutta (IIM Calcutta), a National Level challenge to find India’s most
promising social enterprises.
Eligibility: Enterprise must be less than 3 years old

• Masterplan, IIM-A : Its an annual B-Plan competition organized by IIM-

Ahmedabad. It’s organized in collaboration with CIIE and Red Brick Summit
and apart from prize money offers incubation and mentorship
opportunities.

• The Holcim awards: Competition for sustainable designs that have the
potential to directly impact the community at large. Competition cycle
spans three years and a total of 2 million USD is up for grabs.

• Robocup Logistics League: This competition revolves around planning

and execution for robots in simulation and is run at ICAPS, a broader
organization that conducts many undergraduate student competitions.

Mahabir Prasad Singh Foundation Scholarships 2018
Dedicated to the advancement of research in the frontier of areas of
science. It is being run with donations received from benevolent donors.
Both for Undergraduates and Postgraduate students.

IITR Encore Awards

The Encore Awards are prestigious and highly selective awards to
recognize and reward students that have demonstrated outstanding
accomplishment during their years at the Institute.All 2nd and 4th year

Examination (JEE) are eligible to apply.
