Developmental Observations Domains Physical -removes puzzle mats on his own (what the body, -opens and closes the cabinet doors arms and legs -tries to blow the bubble pipe (lip trill) can do, how the child uses them) -waves the butterfly paper puppets, front-back motion with both hands raised -removed the body parts of the butterfly puppet with pincer grip Cognitive -curious about things—looks in the corners, opens cabinet doors, plays with any material (memory skills, -remembers how to use the boggle dice… (I used it with the ice cube container now, but he understanding, reasoning, removed the dice and placed them in the plastic bottle which was how the way we usually perceptions) do it) -can match the sea animals when asked where is the starfish, sea horse, turtle, jellyfish and lobster… confused with the dolphin and shark…(can match same things already) -he closed-opened his hand when he saw the shark…perhaps he remembered the baby shark song actions Social -participated in the painting activity, with less assistance (interaction with -dances with classmates during Circle Time other people) Emotional -kept removing the puzzle mats (personal -squeaked very loudly and repeatedly when going after the bubbles preferences, -keeps pouring things on the beach ball feelings about oneself, self- concept, self- help skills) Language -says ‘uh oh’ repeatedly … when he shook the box (communication -tries to repeat what teacher says (deliberately imitates words he heard from other people) of emotions and feelings, wants; -squeaks when he is excited (bubbles) imitation of sounds; listening and speaking skills)
