Another addition to
FMCG product range
Well-established Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) dis-
tributor and manufacturer – Motibhai Group has added another in-
ternationally renowned brand to its distribution portfolio.
Chewing gum company Wrigley’s which has been fully acquired
by global confectionery manufacturer Mars Incorporated and re-
named Mars Wrigley Confectionery has effectively positioned Mo-
tibhai Group as the new distributor of the world-renowned chewing
gum brands like P.K, Juicy Fruit, Extra, Eclipse and Cool Air.
Motibhai Group director Rajesh Patel who heads the FMCG di-
vision said the company has been distributing Mars Incorporated
brands like Mars, Snickers, Bounty, M&M’s, Twix and Maltesers
for many decades now and the acquisition of Wrigley’s has further
strengthened their association with an already existing and loyal
supplier and business associate.
“We have been chosen as a partner by Mars Wrigley Confec-
tionery by no coincidence – this is a result of our long association
with Mars Incorporated’s products and their confidence in us. Our
FMCG team and the entire management of Motibhai Group is ex-
cited about this new development,” Mr Patel said.
Headquartered in the United States of America, Mars Incorporat-
ed enjoyed a global market share of 13.5% as per the 2016 estimated
worldwide sales statistics while Wrigley’s which turns 128-years-
old as a company this year has had its share of success stories as
well.
“With the deal now signed, we are ready to take Wrigley’s chew-
ing gums to every corner of the country with our strong distribution
network,” Mr Patel said.
Echoing similar sentiments, Mars Wrigley Confectionery cus-
tomer development leader – export, Craig Aylen said they are ex-
cited to have established a renewed bond with an existing partner
who is known to be taking their business very seriously when it
comes to FMCG distribution and customer service.
“With the inclusion of the chewing gum range, we have further
solidified our years of relationship with Motibhai Group and our
team is confident that the results we will see for the immediate and
long-term future will be very encouraging.”

Another boutique local
product enters Prouds
Two friends combine to create unique ginger products for tourists
ANOTHER unique Fijian-made product has made its way into
Prouds for customers to enjoy.
The new ‘Ginger Elixir’ which is produced in Sigatoka by 300
Islands is the brainchild of two friends - Siteri Puamau and
Kellie Stanbury.
While Kellie lives in Australia and frequents the country to as-
sist her business partner, Siteri is a career accountant and the
duo always wanted to do something unique for our visitors
and locals alike by producing something never seen before
in the market.
“We are very excited that Prouds has joined hands with us to
distribute our ginger elixir from its chain of stores,” Stanbury
told Inbox while launching the product and conducting a staff
training at the Motibhai Group head-office in Nadi recently.
“We have literally come up with a ginger drink that is authentic
and hundred percent Fijian,” Stanbury added.
She said that the drink can be enjoyed in many ways apart from
being a ready-to-drink beverage (mixed with water or soda).
“We have come up with two lovely publications which talks in
detail about how one can use the products to enhance their ev-
eryday living and enjoy something fresh, organic and healthy
as a drink or an ingredient,” Stanbury said.
She said all ginger is sourced from local farmers who use the best
holistic practices to produce local ginger which is always in
high demand.
“Our key message, apart from the production and introduction of
the ginger elixir is that our product is a wellness beverage for
consumers and can be enjoyed in many ways – versatility, this
is a great proposition for resorts, tourism as we’re creating
new opportunities for high yielding revenue throughout the
tourist experience, whilst helping resorts to tell an authentic
Fijian story through flavours from our pure ingredients.”
Meanwhile, the story of the 300 Islands Ginger Elixir began
when two passionate mothers - Kellie Stanbury and Siteri
Puamau who both with their deep knowledge of tourism in
Fiji and sound business acumen were determined to provide
low calorie, healthy, delicious, community-conscious items Kellie Stanbury with the Ginger Elixir at the Motibhai Group head-
