Summarize the content of the book –

A. For Fiction Form Genres—Explain the characters, the setting, theme and plot of the
book.
The main character of this book is Frog. Frog is not like all the Frogs and struggles a doing
things most frogs can do such as catching flies and croaking. The setting of the book begins in
the pond, the woods, and finally a meadow type area where Frog finds Princess. The theme
of the book is that although we may just see the things we are bad at good friends and
people can help us see all that we are good at.

Explain how the book appeals to children, their interests, developmental levels, fun
illustrations etc. Give specific examples from the book:

The book from the cover would a attract a child who likes frog or is an animal lover. The book
itself is simple with short sentences therefore would be a good read for young children. The
book also has characteristics that would be appealing to children such as the color of its
illustrations and the illustrations themselves. For example, in the page were the fox is chasing
Frog the illustrations of the chase are alive in the form that it’s no just a single picture instead
it's a series of pictures giving the effect of Frog hopping away from the fox.

Explain your rating.

This book is a fun and easy read for beginners. It has simple vocabulary and it’s different in
the form of its theme. Although the book is great for young readers my reasoning for a rating
of two also has to do with word choice because although young children may easily read the
book it's also good to include some challenge to help them expand their vocabulary.
