Clause elements is a word/phrase/Clause that fulfills a syntactic functions

in a clause or a sentence.
Subject: The subject of a sentence is the person, place, thing, or idea that is doing or being
soemthing.

Verb: A verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.

Adverbial: Adverbial is a word or a group of words that modifies or tells us something about the
sentence of the verb. Adverbial must be able to answer these three questions:
HOW,WHEN,WHERE

Indirect object: Indirect object is a noun phrase referring to someone or something that is
affected by the action of a transitive verb.

Direct object: Direct object is a noun phrase denoting a person or thing that is recipient of the
action of a transitive verb.

Subject predicative: The subject predicative explains what the subject is or does.

Object predicative: The object predicative explains what the object is or does.
