To whom it may concern:

I have known Antonio Mendoza for the last 4 years now. He was a student in my Metal and Auto Shop classes, and
it is my pleasure to recommend Antonio to you as an outstanding candidate for employment. Over the past couple
of years I’ve seen Antonio demonstrate some great qualities that I feel would make him a great asset to any
business.

Antonio is very friendly and outgoing, which makes him very easy to get along with. He has a great work ethic
which makes him successful in many aspects of his life. You can count on Antonio, he is trustworthy, reliable, and
is seldom absent and never late. He is always ready to learn, learns quickly, and doesn’t back down from a
challenge. He has natural mechanical abilities and works very well with his hands. In my shops he was always ready
to help any of my other students with questions or problems they had. Antonio is well rounded and on top of his
academic work, which includes taking (Honors) English 4, he also made time to compete on the Wrestling Team
and participate as a member of FFA here at Merced High School.

Some of the qualities that I feel really make him stand out, are the kinds that are learned at a very early age, or they
are just innate in someone’s personality. Antonio is honest and trustworthy, he has integrity, and he cares about what
he is doing and this really shows in his work. Something that I really appreciate about Antonio is that, when he sees
something that needs to be done, he does it without having to be asked to do it. These days, that is a rare thing to see
in most people his age.

I have enjoyed working with Antonio, and I am sure that he is going to be successful in whatever he sets out to do in
life. So it is my great honor to recommend Antonio Mendoza to you as an outstanding person, who is very deserving
of any scholarships, awards, or jobs that he may be considered for.

Sincerely,

Gary Maxwell
