To Whom It May Concern:

Upon graduating from Nitro High School, my future goals include to decide definitively on
my choice field of study, and Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University. At
the present moment, I am considering going into marketing. I look to have a good time at WVU
while I balance fun and work. You know what they say, work hard, play hard. My other options are
most fields of business such as management or advertising

I have plenty of experience in marketing, as I work at a local antique store that doubles as a
comic shop. In my workplace, I often have to price items and keep up with current markets as well
as deal with customers and selling, buying, and trading in the store. I participate in DECA at school
and have won first place in my category the last three years. I am currently the President of my
school’s DECA chapter. With DECA, I have been able to attend and compete the International Career
and Development Conference in both Anaheim California and Atlanta Georgia. I have worked and
managed a local snow cone stand called The Tiki Bar. I believe these could help me in my future if I
choose to go the business route.

I’d like to believe that I have some very good attributes when it comes to working and
everyday life. I’ve been told that I am a good listener, which is really good for taking directions and
listening to customers. I am a hard worker and get things done when they need to be. I tend to have
good attendance, as I very seldom miss school and am seldom late for any occasion.

Thank you for taking time to look over my portfolio to hear about the completer program I
finished while a student at Nitro High School. I look forward to meeting with you in person and
sharing with you the valuable skills I learned while taking these business classes during my high
school years.
