CDP POINTS INSTEAD OF 03 NO. PTs (R, Y, B PHASE) AT 500KV G/S RYK

It is submitted that at 500kV Grid Station NTDC, Rahim Yar Khan, only 01 No. PT is
installed on Yellow Phase instead of 03-No. P.Ts on each phase i.e. Red, Yellow & Blue for backup
metering of CDP points at 132kV side of each 220/132kV 250MVA auto-transformers T-5, T-6 and
132/11.5 kV 6.3MVA Power transformer T-7 . It is further added that only 01 No. P.T is installed on
Yellow Phase for each 132kV Bus Bar.

It is worth mentioning that the P.Ts play main role for accurate backup metering of
CDP points and 03 No. P.Ts for each phase i.e Red, Yellow & Blue may be installed as soon as possible
on above said transformers.

Therefore, it is requested to approach the quarter concerned to resolve the above

mentioned issue for proper and accurate backup metering of CDP points and proper monitoring of
voltage of system to avoid any unforeseen situation between MEPCO/NTDC at belated stage in the
best interest of the authority please.
