INTRODUCTION
Background
SUIJI-SLP is a program held based on a collaboration of six Japan universities and
Indonesian universities joined in a SUIJI consortium (Ehime University, Kochi University,
Kagawa University, Bogor Agricultural University, Gadjah Mada University and Hasanuddin
University.
Participants of this event are students from each university and will live together
either in the countryside of Shikoku, Japan, or Indonesia. Students will see firsthand actual
problems happening in the respective areas, build their self-potential and work together to
study, analyze and try to provide an alternative solution to the problems faced in the area.
From this experience, students are hoped to be able to learn as future leaders with
contributive values and global insights that will make them become citizens who will
constantly contribute to society with an international perspective in the future.
This program involves lecturers and administrative staff that has the knowledge,
ability and good understanding of Indonesia and Japan in terms from language, culture,
education and research in order to support the current acitivites, curriculum system,
acceptance administration and delegation of students, assessment and certification system and
to support the learning process of students.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
A. Program Name and Theme
SUIJI-SLP is a program organized by the cooperation of six universities of Japan
and Indonesia in the consortium of SUIJI (Ehime University, Kochi University, Kagawa
University, Bogor Agricultural University, Gadjah Mada University, and Hasanuddin
University). The event’s theme is Service Learning Program (SLP) that has different
event topics for each respective site. Students are hoped to learn as future leaders with
contributive values and global insights through the SUIJI-SLP Program 2018.
