CORE TOOLS OVERVIEW ELEARNING
This course will provide a brief summary of the AIAG Core Tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA. The primary focus will be to create awareness
of the AIAG Core Tools, with an overview of how they can help your organization in its journey through the never ending quest for continual
improvement.
Explanation of Symbols
AIAG has developed a free online survey to test basic competency in the automotive quality Core Tools, e.g. APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC, which
you can use to baseline your organization’s and/or your suppliers’ competency. The questions reflect information that everyone in automotive quality
today should know and was developed with the required knowledge for third-party ISO/TS 16949 auditors as an input. Results can be used 1) to verify
the effectiveness of your quality Core Tools training, 2) for supplier development, e.g. Tier 2, and 3) to develop individual or group improvement plans.

PFMEA IN CONTEXT
The development and usage of the quality core tools including process flow diagrams, process FMEAs and control plans are nothing new to the
automotive supply base. Unfortunately, in many cases these documents are not used to their full potential reducing the benefit for both suppliers and
their customers. As the advanced next step in process improvement, this workshop was designed to reemphasize the benefits, importance, and proper
development of these documents for the benefit of supplier organizations and their customers.

The B-10 is the preferred format for shipping labels. Both label- and tag- marking methods for shipping containers and pallets of parts and primary
metals are covered in this guideline under the general term “label,” however, the B-10 is not a label, but rather a methodology for designing trading
partner shipping labels using the ANSI MH10.8.1 U.S. national, cross-industry standard, developed and maintained by the ANSI committee MH10/
SBC-8.
This executive seminar has been designed specifically for the auto/vehicle industry with a focus on Purchasing, Logistics and the Integrated Supply
Chain. The auto industry is extremely complex, characterized by high capital investments, a globally integrated network of automotive OEM’s and
suppliers and increasing reliance on leading-edge technology and product/process innovation.
