JOINT RESEARCH PROJECT CALL

for the year 2019-20

Following the successful India-UK workshop held in January 2019 in New Delhi, the Indian Council for
Historical Research (ICHR) and Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) jointly invite proposals for
Research projects on the theme ‘Cultural Heritage, Migration and Indian Diaspora’.

The purpose of the call is to build on the combined strengths of academic research groups within the India
and UK to work together on collaborative.

Timetable

• Call open: End of March 2019

• Full application deadline for UK & India: 6th June 2019
• Announcement of Grants: Early September 2019

NOTE:

AHRC applicants must submit the Proposal using the Research Councils’ Joint Electronic Submission (Je-S)
System (JeSHelp@rcuk.ac.uk). ICHR applicants should complete and submit both a hard copy and an electronic
version (soft copy) of the JeS application. The UK PI will be able to download a PDF copy of the proposal,
along with anyattachments, from their Je-S account, which can be emailed to theIndian PI to submit to ICHR.'

PS:

Indian applicants may kindly note that they should select field of Co-Investigator in the form but they will be
considered as Principal Investigator.
