Program Description: This 6-week Period Summer Classes for Eligible Learners in
Grades 7, 8 & 9 JHS Students of Sawata National High School
provides a suitable avenue for the learners who failed in not
more than two (2) learning areas for the SY 2017-2018.

In response to the Division Memorandum No. 172, s. 2018, Sawata National High School
will conduct a 6-week period summer classes for eligible learners in Grades 7, 8 & 9. It
was found out that a total of 42 Grade 7 students failed in Math 7, Science 7 and English
7. In addition, a total of 28 Grade 8 students failed in English and Filipino and a total of
10 Grade 9 students failed in English.
In this 6-week period, classes will be conducted to help these students cope up with their
academic requirements. Further, the learner’s learning profile will be the basis on the
delivery mode of instructions during this period.
Methodology:
The organizing committee will coordinate with the advisers and subject teachers to
identify those eligible learners for the summer classes. Once these students are
identified, the students’ parents’ attention will be called and their consent acquired. Once
the list is finalized, concerned subject teachers will be tapped to create a list of least
learned competencies. A schedule of classes to be agreed upon by the school head and
concerned teachers will be established that will address the 6-week period requirement.
Participating students in the summer class are expected to come in time for the
scheduled classes and participate in the required activities. Students will be provided
activity sheets and other instructional materials for their specific learning areas.
Depending on the learner’s profile, the delivery mode of this summer class shall be a
combination of face-to-face, modular, or on-line learning.
The summer class is set to start on April 23, 2018 to address the 6-week period non-
negotiable contact time with teachers.
As per DepEd Order No. ___ , s. 2018, teachers who will participate in this Brigada
Eskwela will receive the appropriate number of service credits based on their
accomplished daily time record.
