OBJECTIVES!
After the lecture ends, you must able to
determine:

Computations to be applied in a
circuit.
OBJECTIVES!
After the lecture ends, you must able to
determine:

The minimum and maximum

loading of circuit based on
computation.
OBJECTIVES!
After the lecture ends, you must able to
determine:

Standard rating of circuit breaker

/ fuse and the size and type of
wire and conduit to be install in a
circuit.
Materials and Equipment
To accomplish the task you must
have:
• Paper (Scratch)
• Pencil/Pen
• Drawing Tools
• Your Electrical Plan (Tracing Paper)
• Calculator (just in case if you badly need it)

OUTLET
STEP 1
Determine the number of lighting outlets
by direct counting.
11 L.O
NOTE:
GET THE TOTAL COUNT
OF LIGHTING OUTLET
WITH THE SAME
WATTAGE IN A SINGLE
CIRCUIT.
STEP 2
Compute the Total Power (watts) of L.O.
by multiplying the Total number of
lighting outlets to its corresponding
Wattage rating in the circuit. Determine
also the ampere load of the circuit.

Example: 11 L.O. X 100 Watts= 1100

watts 1100W / 230V= 4.78 Ampere
NOTE: The National Electric Code provides that: “100 watts shall
be the maximum load for each household lighting outlet.”
