Automotive
Polyurethanes are an extremely versatile material suitable for
different automotive parts and components, including car
exteriors, interiors, engine compartments and chassis
Polyurethanes are light-weight material whose application has
contributed to reduction in vehicle weight, with higher fuel
efficiency and lower emission as the side benefits. In addition,
PU materials allow greater freedom in design and increase
comfort and road safety.
Appliance
Polyurethane rigid foams
are widely acknowledged
as the best insulation for
household and commercial
refrigerators. Our Appliance
system solutions not only
provide design flexibility,
but also help to save
energy sustainability.
TPU
Elastollan® is a versatile thermoplastic PU elastomer
(TPU) offering very high innovation potential. It can be
processed with different methods, including extrusion
and injection molding as well as blow molding and has
been successfully applied in diverse industries, such
as for cable and wire sheathing, hose and tubing, food
processing and sports and leisure industries.
Construction
With its superior insulation ability and impressive strength,
PU rigid foams are widely used as insulation and
structural materials for the construction industry.
BASF polyurethanes offer engineering consistencies
and can be formulated for a range of physical properties
to meet varying building codes and other customer
requirements.
These PU Rigid Foams can be molded and fabricated
into a wide range of shapes and sizes and sprayed on
even areas with poor accessibility like curves or irregular
shapes for insulation.
Shoe Sole
PU shoes have superior flexibility at low temperatures,
are anti﹣hydrolysis, resistant to oil and abrasion as well as
lightweight and comfortable for your feet.

elastomers due to their excellent anti-abrasion,
