WEIGH BRIDGE – 30 TONS – 9M X 3M

1. Weighing Platform
The load bearing weighbridge platform is of rigid construction to withstand the movement of
loaded trucks. The entire weigh platform rests on 4 Nos. of Loadcells for 9M x 3M platform. The
platform and structure are designed for rugged outdoor applications under extreme weather
conditions with adequate sections to eliminate deflections/vibrations etc. Mechanical level
assemblies being eliminated in the load transfer mechanism. Routine maintenance of the
weighbridge even in high dust level environment is minimal. Moreover, as there are no moving
parts in the weighbridge, the load indicator and associated electronics can be located conveniently
anywhere up to 20 meters from the platform.

2. Loadcell Assembly
Depending on the size of the platform, strain gauge based Double Ended Shear Beam type
loadcell assemblies are used to sense the weight of the vehicle. Strain gauge type loadcell is
primarily a corrosion resistant super tough alloy of high tensile strength steel, the deflection of
which is negligible under load. This deformation is sensed by foil type strain gauges, which are
bonded on to the loadcell and connected to form a balanced Wheatstone bridge. The electrical
output from Wheatstone bridge is proportional to the load applied on loadcell. Each loadcell is
rated for 150% overload capacity. Loadcells are hermetically sealed with IP-68 protection to
function even under water.

3. Software:
The software will be menu driven type in which the screen shows the time, date and weight on
the platform. The menu will have different options like material, serial number, entry, retrieve
etc. The truck comes into the Factory and operator selects the entry option and the system asks
whether truck is incoming or outgoing. When the operator select the same as incoming truck, the
system shows another screen and asks for entering vehicle number, the gate pass number and
material details etc. Now the system can give printout with the data stored in the memory. When
the same truck is going out of the factory, it can be selected as outgoing truck. When the operator
keys in the vehicle number, the previous details will be retrieved from the memory and system
immediately gives Gross, Tare and Net weight. These details can be printed when the operator
gives the print command. The summary report can be printed out material wise, truck wise,
customer wise or date wise as per the requirement. The system does not accept any wrong entry
by operator. The serial number also can be changed through a password. The software is
compatible with WINDOWS based Operating System.

8. Standards
The components of the Weigh Bridge including the mechanical structure shall be designed,
manufactured, assembled and tested in accordance with the relevant Indian Standard
specification of weighing equipment. Wherever I.S are not applicable, our equipment shall
confirm to generally accepted codes & practices.
