Sec. 1 Definition of Bullying


Types of behavior deemed to be inappropriate:

 Physical aggression, damage to property.


 Name calling, jealousy and slagging.
 Graffiti, sniggering, sarcastic remarks.
 Extortion.
 The “look”, staring, degrading remarks in body shape.
 Putting down a student for working well and achieving.
 Talking loud enough so that the victim can hear.
 Intimidation, name belittling
 Spreading rumors about a person’s sexual orientation.
 Discrimination, prejudice, comments or insults about color, nationality, culture,
social class, religious beliefs, ethnic background
 Abusive telephone/mobile phone calls.
 Abusive text messages.
 Abusive email
 Abusive comments/pictures on Facebook and others.
 Breaking confidence
 Unwelcome sexual comments or touching.
 Unwelcome sexual texts or emails.
 Intimidation-including aggressive use of body language
 Verbal abuse-anonymous or otherwise
 Physical abuse or threatened abuse
 The production, display or circulation of written words, pictures or other materials
aimed at intimidating another person
 Harassment based on gender, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation,
race, religion.
 Intrusion through interfering with personal possessions.
 Threats, including demands for money.
 An attack by rumor, malicious gossip, and ridicule on any individual’s reputation.
