WORK OF TRANSMISSION (O&M), CELL

1. Preparation of Weekly & Monthly tripping report of 220KV & 132KV transmission system and their
monthly availability for each zone & overall (TAFM).

2. Placing of order & monitoring overhauling of power transformers of transmission system.

Order for overhauling of 48 nos. power transformers of different capacities (10 to

20MVA, 20 to 50MVA, 100 to 150MVA) placed on M/S shanthala power Ltd, Karnataka vide
Agreement no. 14 dt-17-02-14.

First overhauling work of 20MVA transformer at Sultanganj G/S/S started from 25-03-
14 and it was charged on 08-07-14 but it tripped on 09-07-14 and was declared defective.

Second overhauling work of 20MVA transformer at Katihar G/S/S was taken up &
charged successfully on 27-08-14. Filtration work of another 20MVA transformer at Katihar
G/S/S is to be taken up by the Agency in a couple of days.

3. Placing of order & monitoring of repairing of power transformer:

Order placed on M/S Emco Ltd; Jalgaon vide w.o. no-11, dt-10-03-14 for repair of
followings transformers-:

20MVA - Naugachia Hathidah, Dumaron, Jakkanpur, Ara (5+2 reserved).

50MVA - Sonenagar (1+1 reserved).

20MVA transformer of Jakkanpur G/S/S and 50MVA of Sonenagar G/S/S sent to

Agency’s works in June’2014. Other inspection and joint inspection at their works is to be done
on 15-09-14 before start of repair.

4. Planning of winter and annual maintenance of transmission lines, grids & associated equipments:

Winter maintenance work has been started form 01-09-14.

5. Working out requirement of spare equipment of transmission system at G/S/S for procurement
by Chief Engineer Trans. (P&P).

Requirement of critical spares & T&P has been sent to C.E., Trans (P&P) on 13-06-14
for procurement.

6. Official correspondence on behalf of C.E., Trans (O&M) received from field office regarding
training, outage of transmission system, equipment availability, diversion of spares etc.
