GARBAGE MONITORING SYSTEM

Abstract:
It is a very innovative system which will help to keep the cities
clean .The system monitors the garbage bins and informs about the
level of garbage collected in the garbage bin. According to World
Health Organisation(WHO) every year 80,000 people are being prone
with diseases due to improper garbage system. Government has
focused in many campaigns like swatch bharath scheme. So proper
garbage system is very important keeping in people health and the
cleanliness of the city.

Our project main theme is a proper garbage system. In every

area in the city we at least have a bin for a street and it is very
difficult for a city corporation to monitor all the bins time to time and
dispose them .By this the maintenance and cleanliness of the city
becomes more smarter.

Description of components:
US Sensors:

US Sensors is an electronic component,module, or

subsystem whose purpose is to detect the changes and send the
information to the other electronics by a processor.

A Sensor’s sensitivity indicates how much sensor’s output changes

when the input quantity being measured changes

A good sensor obeys the following rules:

• It is sensitive to the measured property.

Arduino UNO :
Arduino is a open source hardware and software
under General Public License permitting the manufacture of arduino
boards.Arduino boards are available as a do it your self-kits.

Working Principle:
By using Ultra Sonic Sensors we measure the level of the
garbage bin,the us sensor predicts the distance of the level of
garbage bin,when it crosses the threshold level the sensor gives the
signal to the GSM module and GSM module gives the indication to
the respective cooperation board of the city.
CONCLUSION:
The smart city appears even more smarter
when it is a clean city.
