INTRODUCTION

Growing up, I always wanted to be an Aircraft Mechanic. Ever since I was a child,

I always wanted to have a job related to airplanes. I see myself operating and supervising

airplanes, helicopters and other aircrafts in the future. I’ve always really wanted to see an

airplane because it makes me happy and calmed. My dream is to make my own airplane

and ride on it that is why I choose to be an Aircraft Mechanic.

I think, it's natural to have second thoughts on the things you want. As we get older,

we were exposed to different experiences and our preferences about the things we

wanted to pursue might change. But for me, I will pursue my dream to be an aircraft

mechanic because this is what I'm passionate about.

A mechanic is responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and

that any problems are fixed correctly. Mechanics may work on different parts of an aircraft,

such as the engine, landing gear, brakes and pumps. A mechanic may work with special

instruments designed specifically for aircraft maintenance.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

The purpose of this research paper is to discover the facts and opinions about being an
Aircraft Mechanic. It will give general information about the processes on becoming an
Aircraft Mechanic. It shows the day-to-day agenda and works and how much one earns.
This paper will also discuss the benefits of being an Aircraft Mechanic in today’s
generation.

I gathered data from the online sources, such as the following: ….. I also interviewed
people who were working as an Aircraft Mechanic who has a lot of experiences about the
job.

Philippines having over 7,000 islands is considered to be an archipelago. This means

riding any kind of aircraft is a useful means of transportation. This study will benefit
people most especially parents that will send their children to schools which provide
programs for Aircraft Mechanics. This will help them learn more about the job their
son/daughter would most likely pursue in the future. This will prepare their children to
face the challenges and to motivate them for what benefit they will get from pursuing
this program. Aircraft Mechanics are not only limited on working here in the Philippines
but also abroad since most countries in the world use this kind of transportation. This
study will also help the students to decide and be informed about the money and time
they will offer to pursue this course in order to achieve their profession.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

An aircraft mechanics is somebody who fixes and performs planned upkeep on

uplanes and helicopters. They likewise examine planes and helicopters as required
by government organizations.

Based on website, https://study.com/aircraft_mechanic_degree.html Aircraft

mechanics must complete 16 hours of training every two years to keep
current. After obtaining an associate's or bachelor's degree in aircraft
mechanics, students will have a litany of potential careers to choose from.

A. EDUCATION

A college degree isn’t required for this occupation, although most aircraft mechanics
obtain at least 18 months of training from an educational program accredited by the
FAA. Associate and bachelor's degree programs are available in disciplines related to
aviation technology and management. Obtaining a degree can increase employment
opportunities and allow students to take the exam for certification faster than those who
learn their skills on the job. With no formal training, aircraft mechanics must have 30
months of verifiable on-the-job training to take the certification exam.

B. SALARY

As stated by the Bureau of Local Employment in the Department of Labor and

Employment, In the labor local advertise, an Aircraft Mechanic gets roughly
P15,000 to P25,000 every month. For an Aircraft Mechanic A position, the base
pay begins at P30,000 to P35,000. In the U.S, base pay is a lot higher at a normal
of $3,015 every month. In Singapore, the rate is around 3,000 to 3,500
Singaporean dollars for each month while in the United Arab Emirates, the
compensation scale is around 3,700 - 4,000 dirham for each month.
C. JOB SKILLS

In becoming an aircraft mechanic you must possess some various skills such as
having a knowledge about mechanics and how the parts of machinery interact
with each other, you must have some mathematical, analytical, and
communication skills including writing and speaking since aircraft technicians
often work in teams.

METHOD AND RESULTS

This chapter will present the method of the research by conducting a survey about
Becoming a Future Aircraft Mechanic. This study provides necessary information about
the said profession.

The Survey

1. What training is needed to become an Aircraft Mechanic?

2. Do they have enough time to their Family and Friends?

3. How much is the monthly salary of Aircraft Mechanic?
