Rules and responsibilities of lab technician

 Provide assistance in various functions of laboratory.

 Ensure lab supplies are sufficiently stocked.

 Ensure to maintain equipment perfectly clean and in perfect working conditions.

 Ensure to maintain clean work floor and dispose waste appropriately.

 Ensure to label material properly especially when handling soil samples. E.g. as name of

farmer, date, area etc.

 Report or order required laboratory supplies on time in writing. Preferably two week in
anticipation.

 Maintain and update laboratory notebooks to document results.

 Input all FH eggs results in a form available in the computer. (DAILY). And Email to
Marcos Osorio, Mrs. Leticia Alcoser and all field staff.

 Ensure that all persons inside the lab follow safety rules.

 Absolutely NO playing or running inside the lab.

 Diligent care should always be when washing the FH samples and no short cuts in the

washing process are acceptable.

 Working days are from Monday to Friday. From 8:00am to 5:00pm, an hour for lunch.
