FUTURE CURATORS’ CLUB

PROGRAM PLAN

I. Title of the Program: Journey Into the Past

II. Proponent: Future Curators’ Club and Adviser

III. Rationale:

Mount Data National High School is situated in Kabatangan, a pseudonym attached to Upper Bauko by
those who are nostalgic of the thick pine forest that it was once. Yet, only a handful is aware of this. It is a sad fact
that the identity and essence of the Ancestral Domain of Upper Bauko is almost disappearing without anyone
noticing.

The Future Curators’ is a club formed to arrest the disappearing culture of the old Upper Bauko. The club’s
main reason for existence is the collection, collating, categorizing, exhibit and preservation of the scattered oral
traditions such as indigenous riddles, stories, chants, prayers and others.

The Club will act as student-pioneers of IPED in Mount Data National High School.

IV. Objective

The general objective of the club is to preserve every material and non-material culture that is available in
the community and exhibit it in the school IPED corner.

Specific objectives:
1. Collect riddles, stories, chants and other oral literatures of the Upper Bauko;
2. Compile pictures of the remaining evidences of the past life in the Ancestral Domain of Bauko II.
3. Prepare a computerized copy of the collected materials;
4. Bind and display computerized materials at the IPED corner in the school.
