Badanie izolacji przy użyciu megaomomierza wysokonapięciowego (powyżej 250V)
uszkadza elementy półprzewodnikowe zabezpieczenia, co może prowadzić do awarii,
widocznej dopiero po kilku tygodniach od chwili przeprowadzenia badania.
Nieprzygotowanych obwodów zabezpieczenia nie wolno testować przy użyciu miernika
izolacji o napięciu wyższym niż 250V !!! Przygotowanie obwodów polega na połączeniu
biegunów wejść binarnych, wejść zasilania oraz wyjść - zwłaszcza półprzewodnikowych
(o charakterystyce "szybkiej" bądź „mocnej”). Wewnątrz urządzenia – między dowolnymi
jego zaciskami, nie może się pojawić różnica potencjałów o wartości przekraczającej
250 V. W razie braku możliwości takiego przygotowania, wymagane jest odłączenie
sprawdzanych obwodów zewnętrznych od zabezpieczenia na czas wykonywanych badań.

Urządzenie jest obiektem testów wysokonapięciowych podczas procesu produkcji –


zgodnie z normami przedstawionymi w rozdziale opisującym dane techniczne.
Takie badanie jest przeprowadzone tylko raz, z zachowaniem ściśle określonego, bardzo
krótkiego czasu badania.

Obwody komunikacji szeregowej (RS232 / RS485) nie podlegają testom napięciowym -


nie wolno testować ich miernikiem izolacji !!!
