INTRODUCTION

Work Immersion or Community Immersion is an applied

subject for the K-12 curriculum program. It is applied in every
campus or universities which offer Senior High School. It provides
the learner more opportunities like becoming familiar within a real
work place and what happens inside a real company and to apply
their competencies of their chosen specialization in a working
environment. It shows how the world outside our campuses rotates.

Work Immersion gives us the idea of what would we

encounter and how would be working for real. But what exactly is
work immersion? It now applies in each Senior high School

let they expose to an actual workplace.

INDUSTRY HISTORY
ESTABLISHMENT
OF TANZA NATIONAL TRADE SCHOOL THROUGH
RA 3832
Our school was established through R. A. 3832 approved on
June 27, 1963 known as Tanza National Trade School. It started its
operation offering Secondary Trade Education on June 1973. From
June 1973 to June 1987, its operation and administration was under
the supervision of Cavite College of Arts and Trades, Rosario, Cavite
as an annex -satellite school . However, funds and allotments were
directly provided through the DECS, Regional Office. It’ s financial
operation is separate from the appropriation given to its mother
school Cavite College of Arts and Trades. In June 1987, Tanza
National Trade School became an independent school . It has its
financial autonomy and was directly under the supervision of the
DECS Regional Office through the Technical- Vocational Education
Division. It was June 1992 when the Tanza National Trade School
started offering Post -Secondary Education or Two - Year Technical
Education aside from its Four - Year Secondary Trade Education .
The following Vocational Courses are offered as specialization
courses in the secondary. Automotive, Drafting Electronics,
Industrial Electricity, Building Construction, Dressmaking, Furniture

NARRATIVE SUMMARY EXPERIENCES

A. Working with my Co-workers

Learn how to adjust. That’s one of the best thing that I did
while working with my co-workers, due that we have different
personalities and perceptions in life. But even I am adjusting, I felt
the love and the care that they giving on mine. Working with them
is just like a piece of cake, because they were easy to communicate
within the whole team. And with that, it leads us to do things well
without any hesitations.
On these, I recommend that being honest and disciplined
person may give us a better impact while working or even without.

B. Working with the supervisor/manager

Just be honest and always be ready for the entire task that
will be assigned. That’s the best lesson I learned from my
supervisor, Ms. Canubas. She is really a kind supervisor and also a
mother. Because she treated us not just her workers, but also her
family. Working with her is at ease, because she knows our capacity
that all the tasks that she will give can accomplish by us.

C. Working with community

On my entire life, I am always saying that I am confident in
public. That’s why working with my community maybe not hard for
me. Because I know to myself that I can manage things within my
community. We work not just inside the office, but we also faced

lots of students for us to be able to finished our task. We

accomplish every task, because we show what must a person is,
disciplined, determined and knowing evey limits.

D. Daily Narrative Summary of Experiences

DAY 1
On this day, I feel so blank because I really don’t know how
this work immersion will go on. But when Ms. Canubas assigned me
in my work place, which is the Work Immersion office, I feel
comfortable because she oriented us of what we will do and gave
me and my co-workers, a warm welcome.
DAY 2
On my second day of working, Ms. Canubas just assigned us
to collect work immersion evaluation sheets for all those students
who had successfully done their work immersion, and after that, we
just clean the office before going home. But I was little bit feel shy
talking with other students that I don’t know.
DAY 3
On this day, we just got some water for comfort room of the
office and clean also the area. I really feel so tired on this day.
DAY 4
TANZA NATIONAL TRADE SCHOOL

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL –ACADEMIC TRACK

Ms. Canubas wasn’t around in the office. That’s why, we just
continue to collect some papers that was assigned to us and I had
some talks with my co-workers, because after we do our job, we
have remaining time before going out the office. It was really fun
talking to them and I do really feel comfortable because they are
showing their honesty while sharing their thoughts.

DAY 5
I feel so tired on this day. Because I use my full strength to
clean the office and do the tasks that Mr. Harold assigned us.
DAY 6
On this day, we had just arranged in corresponding orders on
the evaluation forms based on their track, section and names. And
it was kind of fun while reading different names.
DAY 7
It’s my seventh day of working, and as day goes by, it was
an ease to work in the office and with my co-workers.
DAY 8
We need only few work immersion evaluation sheets to
collect. And I was happy because, time will come, we would finish
all of those.
DAY 9
I don’t know why I feel so sad on this day, but I realized that
it is because we have only one day left and after that, we are done
working in the Work Immersion Office.
DAY 10
This is my last day of working in the office of Ms. Canubas/
But still, we continue to finish the task that was given to us, which
is to collect some sheets for Grade 12 students or the work

evaluation sheets. Even this day finished, the lessons in life and the
friendship that I gained, will never be finish. Instead, those will
always be cherishing and unforgotten.

THE WORKER’S PRAYER

My Lord, Jesus Christ

I offer You, this day,
All my work, my hopes and struggles,
My joys and sorrow.
Grant me, and all my fellow workers
The grace to think like You,
And to live in You.

Help me to love You with all my heart,

And to serve You with all my strength.
Lord, Jesus Christ, Carpenter Nazareth,
You were a worker as I am.

Give me, and all workers, the privilege

To work as You did,
So that everything we do
Will be to the greater glory of God,
And the benefit of our fellow men.

May Your kingdom come into our offices,

Our factories and shops,
Into our homes and our streets.
Give us this day a living wage,
So that we may be able to keep Your law.

May we earn it without envy or injustice,

To us who labor and are heavily burdened, send speedily
The refreshment of Your love.

May we never sin against You,

Show us Your way to work,
And when our work here is done,
May we, with all our fellow workers, rest in peace.

AMEN.
