1. Discuss the basic functions of a computer.

INPUT AND OUTPUT

Input computer functions accept data from input devices and sends it to the computer
processor. The Output functions communicates the result of processing.

DATA PROCESSING
which consists of electronic circuits that can read and execute code instructions to
perform a wide range of tasks, from performing complex mathematical calculations to sorting
the entries in a database.

DATA STORAGE
One of the most useful functions of a computer is data storage. Besides storing data
that has been input through peripherals, computers also need a way to save the results of
data processing.

2. What is an embedded system? Discuss example at least 2 examples of devices that uses
embedded systems.

EMBEDDED SYSTEM
is a controller with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system,
often with real-time computingconstraints.

CONTROL UNIT
is a component of a computer's central processing unit that directs the operation of the
processor.
ARITHMETIC LOGIC UNIT
is a combinational digital electronic circuit that performs arithmetic and
bitwise on integer binary numbers.

is a category of application programs that help users produce things such as
