Introduction:
Transition spaces are defined as a link space between two enclosed spaces. Transition spaces in the form of corridors, atriums, stairwells and
other circulation spaces are integral part of design in most of the buildings. Most of the time users have a psychological experience, but are
unaware of the presence of such spaces.
The percentage of these spaces may vary according to the function / type of building. Their functionality also varies accordingly to the
appropriate requirement of the building.
Objective:
The objective of the vacation Assignment aims to explore the following factors of the Transition spaces.
Students shall study and analyze all these with Literature and Live case examples which shall help them through their Design Process.
The study and analysis on Transition Spaces in buildings shall be supported with the following deliverables
to understand its architectural values and its influence in the built space with the help of a Minimum of 3 case examples by Famous Architects.
