Farewell, Lee Dymond

Lee Dymond first came to Montgomery via Taylor
Road Baptist Church when he was called to be their
student pastor in 1999. From this assignment, Lee was
asked by the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions
to be the Baptist Campus Ministry Director of AUM
and the River Region Colleges/Universities. He has
faithfully served over the last twelve and a half years in
this position. In recent days, the Dymond family was
asked by Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham

Lee, Holly, Caroline and Anna are family. They
have served with distinction and have been a strong asset to the
Montgomery Baptist Association. We wish them “God’s very best” as they
go to Birmingham to begin a new kingdom chapter in their lives. All of us
will cherish the fun times and great memories we had together. God bless
you, Lee Dymond!
As everyone moves forward, Mike Nuss and team at ALSBOM are getting
organized and preparing for the next days. Charles Hadden Spurgeon once
said, “God always has the man for the hour and the hour for the man.” We
will keep you posted as we know more of the next steps.
As you pray for Lee’s replacement, keep in mind that we have ten colleges
and universities in the River Region. They are: Alabama State Univserity,
Auburn University Montgomery, Faulkner, Troy Montgomery, Trenholm
State, Huntingdon, Fortis, Amridge, South, and Maxwell Air
University. This segment of society represents a population of
many who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. It is
imperative that we as Montgomery Baptists pray, prepare, and
do everything we can to provide a way for these students to
come to faith in Christ. Let us make the “Gospel Above All” a
priority as we go and make disciples.
Mary and I are thrilled to join you in loving the River Region to
Jesus. Always remember, together, we can touch the world and
impact eternity.
Neal
