Montgomery Baptists will prioritize the gospel above all by:

Meeting human need and planting gospel seed;
Starting and replanting of churches for all people;
Equipping and sending of pastors and missionaries to the River Region and the ends of the earth

Calling Out the Called

Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work
to which I have called them. Acts 13:2
One of MBA's three initiatives to make the "gospel
above all" is: Help MBA churches Discover,
Develop, and Deploy disciple-makers to live their
lives on mission across the street and around the
world. We are beginning to see the "flywheel"
within the MBA family regarding this intentional
effort to effect change in the River Region and
Neal Hughes beyond. Here are three stories in real-time :
Director of Missions
- Ben Crocker Ordained by Eastern Hills Baptist
Church Ben is the new Baptist campus minister at
AUM. He is a long-time member of Eastern Hills, saved as a high school
student through their youth ministry. Ben did his undergraduate work at
AUM and is presently an MDIV student at New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary (Montgomery Extension). Our brother is married to
Nalen (who serves on the staff at EHBC). They have a beautiful toddler
named Eleanor. At a recent state board meeting, ALSBOM approved Ben
to become the newest campus ministry director of our growing capital city
university. The Eastern Hills family gathered this winter and supported
the will of God by ordaining our brother to the gospel ministry. Keep the
Crocker family in your prayers as they serve the River Region in Jesus'
name.
- Alex Kim Ordained by All-Nations Church Seung Yun Kim (Alex) is
a Korean evangelist, working mainly in Guatemala. God has used this
COVID season to bring him and his family back to Alabama for rest,
retreat, and revitalization. They have been ministering with Pastor John Yi
through All-Nations Church in Montgomery and have been an active part
of Alabama's Korean Pastor Network. In recent days, to further Alex's
work in Central America, All-Nations was ordained via the ministry of
several Korean churches. They gathered many pastors in Huntsville to
participate in this unique service. As I last spoke to Alex, John Yi was
taking him to the airport, with our brother returning to his work in
Guatemala. Keep the Kim family in your prayers as they serve the
"uttermost" in Jesus' name.
- Lottie Moon Exceeds a Cumulative Milestone According to Paul
Chitwood, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, cumulative since its
inception, will cross the $5 billion mark in a few weeks. That is God's
people, Southern Baptist brothers and sisters, sacrificially giving over a
season of time for missionaries to go to the ends of the earth. The IMB is
urging you to consider the will of God by saying, "Here am I, Lord, send

The old country preacher said, "Don't ask what you can do for the Lord.
Make yourself available, and He will wear you out!" Jesus is tenderly
calling you today. Now is the hour. Will you heed His call in your life?
