Lewis Pugh is a famous swimmer who swims in cold waters to draw attention to environmental issues. In 2007, he swam in the North Pole to show how global warming is affecting the planet and causing environmental problems. His passion for protecting the earth began as a child when he visited national parks and saw how fragile the land was. He decided to swim in the North Pole to illustrate how glaciers are slowly melting due to pollution. Later, he swam in Lake Imja near Mount Everest to demonstrate how pollution is also affecting that region and threatening water supplies in countries like China and India. His messages were that human actions can unintentionally harm the earth through pollution, and that small changes in lifestyle can benefit the

Brief Summary of the Environmentalist Adventure of LEWIS PUGH
MY MIND-SHIFTING EVEREST SWIN Lewis is a famous swimmer who likes to draw attention by swimming in cold water. In 2007, it was proposed to swim in the North Pole to attract the attention of the people, thus showing them that global warming is affecting the earth causing problems in the environment. His passion to protect the earth was born when Lewis was a boy. At that time of childhood I visited the national parks and learned that the land was so fragile to face the problems of environmental pollution and so Lewis decided to swim in the North Pole to make us see that the glaciers are being directed little by little because of environmental pollution. One day I hear talk about Lake Imja, near Mount Everest; It was there where I swim to make us see how it is also affecting the pollution and that is how he gave us the message, often that we pollute the environment will diminish the water for the countries: China, India, etc.
Then he gave us 2 messages:
* I learned that people can do a lot of harm without wanting to, especially hurting the earth with our polluting acts and without conscience. * I learned that if we change the way we live and think we can all do something for our environment.
