Greetings to all of us, praise and thank you I thank God Almighty for all blessings

and knowledge so that I can able to make and complete this Study Tour report from

Semarang to Yogyakarta from the beginning until the end of the time.

When I collect data, I get a lot of help from my group friends (Zhen and Surya)

and I am very grateful to theem for helping me in collecting the data.

I realize the reports that I have completed are far from perfect words. Therefore,

I hope that there will be a constructive criticism for the future reports. Finally, I would

like to say thank you again to my friends and hopefully the information in this report

can be useful for those who read it.

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

 Background

KESUMA Junior High School held a study tour to Semarang and Yogyakarta.

This study tour had been held from March and from 1 parents meeting. After passing

mid term test and the 9th grade exam, this study tour was started in 28th until 30th of

April. This was the 1st KESUMA Junior High School’s study tour outside Lombok

Island and this study tour for the 1st generation of Bilingual Program.

In this study tour, students are required to make written reports and

presentations about this trip.

 Purpose

The purpose of this study tour are :

A. To improve students's ability in speaking English

B. To provide new experiences to students

C. To make students more courageous in speaking English

D. To find out about how school out there are implementing Bilingual

Program

 Benefits

A. Students can apply English in their daily lives

B. Students can be know some tourism objects in Semarang and Yogyakarta

city

C. Train students to be able to make trip report


CHAPTER II

CONTENTS

 The time and destination of tour

This study tour was started in 28th until 30th of April and the destination are Semarang city

with the destination in St. Theresiana School and Yogyakarta city with the destination in “

Rumah Inggris Jogja”. My teachers, my friends,and me were gathered in front of the school

at 3 a.m CIT. At 4 a.m CIT we were prayed together and said goodbye to our parents and family

and then got in the bus and went to Lombok International Airport. During the trip to the airport,

we were very excited because we couldn’t wait to arrive in Yogyakarta. . Our airplane were

boarding at 5.30 a.m WIT. At 6 a.m WIT, we arrived at Adi Sucipto Airport and here was

where the trip begone.

 Trip to Semarang

When arrive in Yogyakarta, we walked into the bus, put in our suitcase and then went to

OrangUtan restaurant to had breakfast. After that we went to Boroubudur Temple, but when

arrived, the place was very crowded because it was Sunday. We stayed there from 10 a.m until

2 p.m WIT After that, we had lunch at Ambarawa and went to “ Goa Maria Kerep

Ambarawa”. At there, my teachers and friends that Catholic religion prayed and the others,

went for took some pictures and videos, especially myself. After that, we went to Amaris Hotel

and arrived at around 6 p.m WIT. We took a bath and had a dinner at the hotel and we had the

last practiced for perfomace in St. Theresiana school. After practicing, we went to our room

respectively and then slept.


 Studying Process in St.Theresiana

At Monday, 29th of April, my friends, teachers, and me were had a breakfast at the hotel.

After having breakfast, we picked up our suitcase and brought it to the bus, and then we went

to St. Theresiana school to saw and join the studying process with other school who had a

Bilingual Program too. It was the big and wide school I had ever seen.

When arrived, we were gladly accepted by the teachers and the principal and we entered

the room called the Glass Room. In there, we were prayed together and there were some

foreward from the principal from the St. Theresiana school and KESUMA Junior High

school too. After that, we went to the Teather Room. It is so big and fancy. We were go

around and then we were divided into 2 group. The group was based on the English Course

group. Ma’am’s group in 8a and Madam’s group in 7a. Because I’m in Ma’am’s group, so I’m

in 8a. We were studying for 3 hours. At 12 a.m WIT, we had our break time for 15 minutes

and then we went to the Teather Room for saw the performance from St. Theresiana and after

that we showed our performance. It was going on for 2 hours. After that we had lunch there

and then went back to bus to continued our trip to Yogyakarta. It took 4 hours trip, but in the

middle of the trip, we went to the Rest Area Terminal Salatiga to change our clothes and the

teachers gave us opportunity to bought some foods & drinks. After that, we continued the trip

to De Laxston Hotel. We arrived at around 11 p.m WIT. We took our suitcase and then went

into the hotel. Afteer that, we took ourselves room key to took a bath and then change our

school suit. After that, we had dinner and then go to Malioboro. We went there by Online

Taxi. We were in Malioboro until around 2.30 a.m WIT, and then we went back to the hotel

and then slept.


 Studying process in Rumah Inggris Jogja

At Tuesday, 30th of April, we were had breakfast first. After that, we went to Rumah

Inggris Jogja or RIJ. We were arrived at around 9 a.m WIT and we were gladly accepted. We

were learned while playing. At there, our speaking skill were needed because we must speak

English, maybe around 80% – 90%. We studied there for 3 hours with some instructor and then

we took a picture together and then went back to the bus.

 The process of returning to Lombok

We had lunch in the bus while continued the trip to Prambanan Temple. But before we

went to Prambanan, we visited Gift Shop to bought some food or something else that we’ll

bring it to Lombok. After that, we continued our trip to Prambanan Temple. At there, we spread

and then took many picture. Especially me, I took many videos for my YouTube channel. From

there, we went back to the bus and then went to the airport because it was our last day study

tour.

When arrived, we were given a meal for dinner at the airport. We went in for check in and

then we went to the waiting room because our plane were boarding at 5.50 p.m WIT. In the

waiting room, there is a bookstore, some of us, included me, went there to bought some book.

I bought “MARVEL” book. It was expensive book but, nevermind. After that, our plane were

ready and we went to the airplane. It took 1 and a half hour to arrived at Lombok International

Airport. We arrived at around 8.30 a.m CIT. When arrived, we took our suitcase, went to bus,

went to KESUMA JUNIOR HIGH School and then arrived safely.


 Travelling to some tourism objects

1) Borobudur Temple

Borobudur Temple was build for a long time. From what I know this place never

deserted. There is a myth that when you go to the peak of Borobudur temple, there is one

stupa that has a statue. If you succeed touch the statue, your wishes is gonna come true.

When we arrived there, it was very crowded because it was Sunday and it was very

hot. When I was a kid I went here, so this place was familiar to me. We went up until the

top. But, when we went down of the Borobudur temple, we were spread, so we looked for

each other. After finding each other, we went back to the bus and continued the trip.

2) Goa Maria Kerep Ambarawa

From Borobudur, we went to Goa Maria Kerep Ambarawa. It is a holy place, who are

Catholic are require to pray there and some of us prayed there. The other are took some

pictures or videos. After that we went back to the bus and continued the trip.

3) Malioboro

Malioboro is one of the best place I ever visited since I was a little, because I was born

in Yogyakarta. It’s the place where we can rest ourself, buy some souvenirs, eat some

Yogyakarta food, and many others. It is connect with the 0 Km of Yogyakarta. There is

also a Mall that is no less magnificient than other Malls in Yogyakarta. We went there by

Online Taxi. We were so excited and tired, some of us bought some souvenirs and took

some photos and videos. After that we went back to hotel by Online Taxi again.
4) Prambanan Temple

Prambanan temple was build for a long time. There was a legend that told this temple

was build by genie and there a myth that, if you go there with boyfriend or girlfriend, your

relation ship will be over. This temple also call, “ A thousand temple”.

At there, we visited many temple but we were tired. We went there for 1 hour, after that

we decided to went back to the bus.

CHAPTER III

CLOSING

 Conclution

a) Our English skills are increase.

b) Increase our level of independence because we are separated from our parents.

c) We can learn while playing even traveling, through this study tour.

 Advice

This study tour activity should continue to be carried out because it has many

positive benefits. Not only a study tour, bilingual classes must also continue to advance

the name of the school and even the name of the nation. From this Study Tour activity,

students also get a lot of memories so that in the future when the students split up, they

can recall this Study Tour activity that the students experienced some times ago.
