group the words into suitable category decided on your own. Think of the words that could be

good together. Give a label for each group. You have to explain to your friends why did you

2. Aural Technique
Activity 1: Happy Box
Teacher’s notes:

1. Teacher mentions name of a section in a certain place.


2. Students listen to four words said by teacher afterwards. If the words
mentioned are associated with that section or place, they should draw a happy face ()
on the column orderly. If the words are not associated, students should draw a sad
face () on the column.

Activity 1: Riddles Game


Teacher’s Guide:

Ask one student to stand up and read the provided questions.


The other students should pay attention and answer the question as quick as possible.
The quickest student will get one star.
The student with most stars is the winner.
You can add or modify the questions based on students’ level.

Activity 2: Matching Game


Teacher’s notes:
1. Teacher prepares a number of cards containing problem situations and
responses separately.
2. Teacher distributes the cards randomly to students in the class
3. Teacher asks them to memorize their lines and leave the cards on their desks.
4. Teacher asks them to walk around saying their lines until they find their
match.
5. When all pairs have been matched, teacher asks them to say their lines for the
whole class.
6. Teacher asks them to write down the definition of the underlined vocabulary
written on the cards.
