 Task 1
1. What learning about teaching work did you obtain from this practice experience?
How did this learning contribute to change, refine or complicate your understanding
of “being a teacher”?

- The main learning about the teaching work that I obtained were the organization,
the preparation before classes and the attitude. The first one because it is important
to be organized as teachers, if our work is a mess, our teaching will be a mess and
we will be a mess, therefore, students will not understand and we will not be able to
help them and we will not complete our objective. The preparation before class is as
important as organization, they are related, before the lessons we need to have
everything ready and a clear plan, if we do that the class will be a success. Finally,
the attitude, this is something that we need to have and that I acquire in this teaching
practice, we are about to be teacher, but we need to believe it, we need the character
inside of the classroom, with this from now we will be molded ourselves to be
mentally and physically teachers.

2. What values sustain your vision of work and professional role?

- First of all, the responsibility, in this role it is imperative being responsible in every
aspect, with students and we as teachers, we have to do our planning, have the
material ready, be precise with time and the evaluations.

Second, the integrity, we have to always think in do the right, be good professional
and good people, be good teacher and good colleague.

Third, the empathy, as teachers we work with a lot of people, we need to know how
to deal with them, this virtue will help us to understand them, their problems,
afflictions and strengths, with this we will be able to complete our work successfully.

Fourth, the perseverance, we need this virtue go forward, it is important to be

constant in what we are doing, there are more people involved not only us, our
students depend on us, so it is important the perseverance in this labor.
Finally, the patience, this work is not easy, it is full of obstacles, we need to put of
our effort, but patience is necessary to face every difficulty that can appear.

3. What are your main strengths and weaknesses to perform the teaching role?

- The main strengths that I could identify in this process were the proactivity, the
ability to gain the students confidence, the time management and the patience.

On the other hand, the weaknesses that I identified were the classroom
management, the planning activities, the simplified explanation and the
organizations sometimes.

4. What professional learning needs do you identify based on the strengths and
weaknesses detected and your conception of “being a teacher”?

- The professional learning need that I identify are my confident as a teacher,

sometimes I think I am not a teacher yet and that makes me to feel insecure and
maybe that is the crucial point were I cannot control the class or the students. Then,
I am proactive, but in my opinion I can use my time better to take advantage of that.
Finally, I can use in a better way my abilities in the language, I am able to do more
and give more, the lessons can be more memorable.
