OJT Narrative Report

(Department Of Trade and Industry)

June 20, 2018-October 19, 2018

Graduating students yearly undergo an On-the-job training for them to

practice the theories and knowledge that they have learned on the three and half
years of their collegiate degree. This can also be used as a passport on job
application as a job experience since we are fresh graduate and don’t have any
edge to compete and boast during job interview. This also considered as a
stepping stone because if trainees have executed a great and excellent
performance, probably the company that they have trained with might asll absorb
them.

Samar College BSBA Major in Financial and Marketing Management

students undergo their internship program during the month of June with the
requirements of less than 600 hours. As a BSBA-FM student, I submitted my
application letter and resume at DTI SAMAR.

In my case, I have given my service onto DTI SAMAR, On my almost 5

months of stay in DTI SAMAR, the knowledge and skills that I have taught are
being enhanced as my trainers trained me.

June 20, 2018 the day I start my OJT in DTI SAMAR, Ma’am Eden
introduced us to all the DTI employees then she assigned me in BDD (Business
Development Division) then after Madam Meilou Macabare (Provincil Director
of DTI SAMAR) orient us on how DTI employees do their work then she ask us
to participate and volunteer to help the DTI employees.

Working days in in the DTI is from Monday to Friday from 8 in the morning
to 5 in the afternoon. I am directly under the supervision of the Business
Development Division Chief (Mr. Tan) who supervises and assess my performance
as a part of BDD. My most important learning in DTI is to be more responsible and
effective young professional in the workplace.
