Chapter I
The OJT Program
On-the-Job Training is one method by which students are given a chance to apply the
theories and skills that they have learn from the school. It also helped students to acquire relevant
knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and Universities require
their students to undergo such training within specific number of hours as part of the curriculum.
Internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific
job using the real tools, equipment, and document. In effect, the workplace becomes a
development venue for a student trainee to learn more about their chosen field and practice what
they have learn from University.

Accommodating on-the-job trainees can truly be beneficial not only to the trainees but
also to the companies that provide opportunities for this type of learning. There is wisdom in the
front lines. Such training can be an investment that will be valuable to the company later on. This
is also why trainees should take their internship seriously as it can become powerful tool and
possibly even a source of recommendation when they take the big lift from being students to
career professionals.

B. Operational Aspect
The College of Business and Management is the institution that study how businesses function
and provide its students business and management training in order to develop world trained
leaders in business and administrative fields.
The operations of a business vary across industries, and they are structured according to the
requirements of the specific industries. Mastering the operation of a specific industry can help the
business achieve success.

C. Problems Encountered
During OJT, the only problem I encountered is lacking of self esteem, because I am not used to
be around by many people but I realized immediately that I am being trained and I am not
expected to know everything in one day. Experience is gained through time, and that makes me
confident and become a productive trainee

CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
A. Summary and Conclusion
On-the-Job Training is mandatory activity for us graduating students in order to widen our
knowledge and skills. It is a requirement for us to undergo such in order to experience the real
world of work. This is one of the momentous parts of my life because I was being trained to work
in the office. I was also tasked to deal with deifferent persons and faculty personnel as well. This
On-the-Job Training has molded me into a better individual the fact that I had gained a lot of
experiences which could be my beneficial when I will be having a job soon. The On-the-Job
Training was very fruitful and enjoyable because it really enriched my knowledge and skills. It
gave me also strength to face those trials that awaits after my graduation. This will serve as my
stepping-stone to fulfill all my goals in life. I am very happy that I successfully finished my on-
the-job training at the College of Business and Management at Isabela State University –
Cauayan City Isabela and I learned a lot.

B. Recommendations
I would like to recommend the following to the future trainees:
1. Students who will undergo practicum in a certain office or company must have at least a
colleague or a co-trainee to easily accomplish the task given especially if there are lots if
instructions given by the immediate supervisor to do.
2. OJT Trainee should always have presence of mind and focus to easily adapt and
understand the instructions given to him/her.
3. Students who will undergo an on-the-job training must already equipped with the basic
knowledge in operating machines like computers, xerox machines and others.
