Mohammad BilalJuly 11, 2017
Opposition party members Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the PPP's
Khursheed Shah in a meeting on Tuesday decided to push for the resignation of Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif and exert pressure on the National Assembly in this regard, a day after a damning

call a session of parliament.
"The purpose of the requisition is to remind Nawaz Sharif of the promise he made to the country on
the floor of the House last year," Qureshi said, recalling the PM's speech in the NA following the
Panama Papers leaks last year, in which he claimed the PM "would resign without wasting a moment
if any evidence was found against him in the investigations [into the Panama Papers leaks]."
"That moment has now arrived," he added.

A.B. ArisarJune 09, 2013

UMERKOT: As an intense summer season began, it brought along a deadly disease,

spreading fast among the beautiful peacocks of the Thar region.

Within two days, four peacocks have died in the village of Dedh Vero in Tharparkar, while several more
were found to be sick.

According to locals and experts, the peacocks are suffering from ‘Ranikhet disease’ – the symptoms being;
swelling of the neck and secretion of water from the mouth, while it stops eating and drinking, and dies
within three days.
It should be noted that during the last two years, over 200 peacocks have lost their lives during each
