1. Learning Insights from the topic :

I learned the different environments under which operations decisions are made and use the
techniques that apply to decision making under uncertainty. I was able to know the uses of
expected- value approach. It is hard to apply the decision theory because this theory in an
interdisciplinary approach to determine how decisions are made given unknown variables and an
uncertain decision environment framework. This theory also brings together psychology, statistics,
philosophy and mathematics to analyze the decision making process.

2. How can I use it in my profession?

This decision theory for me is very complicate and I don’t think that I will use this in my
profession. Maybe not now but sooner or later I will encounter situations in which I can apply it. I can
use the common mistakes in decision process through awareness.

3. How will my students/ colleagues benefit from this topic?

My colleagues can benefit this topic by understanding that decision theory studied within the
context of understanding the activities and decisions underpinning activities such as auctions,
evolution and marketing. They will be able to get rid of the causes of poor decision making.

4. Would this topic be useful in your personal life and in your preparation to be an administrator?
Explain briefly.
This topic is useful in my personal life especially to avoid coming up with poor decisions
because I am now aware about the causes of poor decision making. I can also use the decision
theory in some other instances that needs a theory of choice.
