Project Title – “A Study of Employee Satisfaction with


Recruitment and On-Boarding process at HRH Group
of Hotels"
OBJECTIVE- The general objective of study is to study employee’s
perspective towards the Recruitment and On-Boarding process

1. To examine what employees, think about the ongoing hiring policies


2. To identify the problems if any in the process.
3. To recommend ways of enhancing and improve the said process
and policies related to it.

Research Methodology
The process and methods used in data collection were primary in form of:

  Questionnaire
 Personal interview

Questionnaire

A set of questions were printed and distributed to the staffs of hotel, and the
questionnaire was circulated among the head of the departments as well as
the operational level staffs, as in the study I had considered two groups from
the top management perspective to the ground staff’s perspective and hence,
had merged them in my study to arrive at a combined conclusion of both.

Personal interview

There was face-to-face conversation with the respondent, in that I asked


open ended questions with the head of the operations and staff of the hotel.it
helped me to seek clarification where it was necessary in the questionnaire
Population

The population of the study consist of the staffs of three units of HRH Group of
hotels in the following manner.

Sample size

In this study a sample size of 40 candidates is used to allow more coverage of


the study area and to ensure precision in drawing conclusion. Simple random
sampling was used, here each population elements had a known and equal
chance of being selected.

Interpretation:

From the above data, we can interpret that 50% of the respondents were Neutral when
asked about it while 50% of the respondents were satisfied from the info received from HR
Dept.

Analysis:
By the above data we can see that there is a 50-50 response towards the above-
mentioned topic and people are satisfied with the HR Dept. Information provided.

From the above data, we can interpret that 50% of the respondents were dissatisfied, 35%
were neutral, and 57,5 % were satisfied from the Response time from HR Dept in processing
their candidature

By the above data we can see that there people are satisfied with the response time
from HR Dept in processing their candidature.

22.5 % were neutral, and 70% were satisfied with the timing of the interviews

From the above data, we can interpret that only 2% of the respondents were dissatisfied, 13
% were neutral, and 70 % were satisfied with the scheduling of the interviews.

Analysis:
By the above data we can see that people are satisfied with HR dept scheduling
of interviews.

From the above data, we can interpret that 5% of the respondents were dissatisfied, 8%
were neutral, and 65 % were satisfied and 23% of the population showed a very satisfactory
response towards HR Dept’s communication regarding their candidature

Analysis:
By the above data we can see that HR dept is keeping the candidates updated about
their status and communication is good enough.

Interpretation:

From the above data, we can interpret that 8% of the respondents were dissatisfied, 10%
were neutral, and 63 % were satisfied and 20% of the population was highly satisfied
with the feedback provided to them.
Analysis:
By the study of above data I can be seen that the feedback function is performed in a
efficient manner by the HR Dept.

From the above data, we can interpret that 8% of the respondents were dissatisfied, 3%
were neutral, and 70 % were satisfied and 20% were highly satisfied with the Response of
HR Dept regarding their offer contents.
Analysis:
By the above data we can see that the details provided by the HR Dept to the
candidates regarding their job roles and other details was relevant and effective.

Interpretation:

When asked about the response time of HR Dept, 50% said it was within a week, 33% got
the response within 2 weeks, 11% got it after 2 weeks and only 1% were conveyed after
3 weeks.

Analysis:
By the above data we can see that the Response time of HR dept is very quick and maximum
respondents got the information regarding their status within 1 week.

Interpretation:

From the above data, we can interpret that 81% replied YES whereas only 19% of
the population said No when it comes to location preference asked.

Analysis:
The location preference is asked from almost each candidate who appears for the job

Interpretation:
Out of the 35 respondents who asked for the feedback, 29 (80%) found it to be useful for them.

Analysis:
The HR dept. makes sure that the feedback system is effective and efficient enough

for the candidates asking for it.

From the above data, we can interpret that 43% were neutral, and 57 % were satisfied
with the joining formalities went through while joining the job.
Analysis:
By the study of above data, we can see that the joining formalities carried out in the
organization are fare enough and can be continued in the same manner as they are going
on right now.

From the above data, we can interpret 8% were neutral, and 80 % were satisfied and 13%
were highly satisfied with the concept of Medical Test for the New Joiners carried out by
the HR Dept.
Analysis:
By the above data we can see that the concept of Medical Test is liked by the people
and should be continued without any change.

Interpretation:

When asked about the accuracy in Job posting 78% were satisfied with it and 18% were
highly satisfied with it
Analysis:
As we can see that 80% of the joiners were correctly posted to the jobs they preferred
and were satisfy with this, we can conclude that the HR Dept. is working were efficiently
and effectively in the On-Boarding process.

completion of their duties at workplace.

When asked about the overall experience of the on-boarding from the respondents, 3%
were neutral on it, 73% were satisfied and 25% were highly satisfied with the overall
functioning

Analysis:
By the above data we can see that the overall response of employees for the Onboarding
is positive and the function performed is satisfactory.

Activities carried out on the Project assigned

In the previous report I had mentioned the current scenario of the organization,
project objective, problem statement, research methodology & the work done
from 1/06/19-16/06/2019.

So now from 17/06/2019 – 22/06/2019 the further activities & data collection
is done:

  The has been completed and the data has been analysed
  Working on the Project and bringing it towards the end.
  The functions in the company are learned
 Training two new interns who joined from 20th June 2019,
 Visit to two Additional Units Jag Mandir and Shikar Badi Resort along with
 several candidates for their interviews
 As mentioned in the last report regarding the recruitment process for the
following posts

Secretary to CMD

Joint Operations Head for the two Hotels.

Assistant Company Secretary

It is almost done, and Assistant CS will join from 24th June 2019.

 Medical camp for the employees, is completed and I have handled the whole
camp by myself and by the means of the same, have contacted people for
my project work.
