Accident Investigation

Friday, August 2nd, 2019, Canton, MI – At approximately 3:15 p.m., Canton Police responded to the area
of Lilley Rd and Princess for a collision involving two (2) vehicles. A 34 year old Ypsilanti resident driving a
2017 Triumph motorcycle was southbound on Lilley Road when he collided with a 2019 Buick driven by a
51 year old Westland resident that was turning westbound onto Princess. The driver of the motorcycle
sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia.

The Canton Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was called in to investigate. Lilley Road
between Palmer and Cherry Hill was closed, but is open at this time. Alcohol does not appear to have been
a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
