SCRIPT-ACQUAINTANCE PARTY

JOYCE: Ladies and gentlemen, on this festive afternoon we are here to celebrate the 3rd

Acquaintance Party of our dearest Senior High School students.

AILA: At this juncture, we would like to request everyone to stand for our opening prayer

to be led by Ms. Jenelyn Anne Dela Cruz.

JOYCE: Please remain standing for our Philippine National Anthem to be led by Kyelle

Marasigan.

(after the prayer and national anthem)

JOYCE: Everyone please be seated.

AILA: A pleasant afternoon to each and everyone here. I’m Aila Jiezel M. Perez

JOYCE: and Joyce Mae Belo,

BOTH: and this is the Senior High School Acquaintance Party 2018!

AILA: Good afternoon partner! You look quite ravishing today. It’s truly an honor to share

this stage with you on this particular event.

JOYCE: Good afternoon too partner and thank you for the compliment. With Coachella

as this year’s theme, I can say that all of us look like bohemian royals.

AILA: I couldn’t agree more with your statement partner. Now, it’s clear to see that

everybody is excited for the program however, let us not prolong the agony of waiting. To

formally welcome us in this fateful event, let us welcome the remarkable Directress of the

Senior High School Department, Dr. Arlene Castor. A round of applause please.
JOYCE: Thank you so much for the heart-warming welcome address ma’am. Now, let us

proceed to the introduction of activities.

AILA: So this year’s acquaintance party will have a series of contests that our students

will join.

JOYCE: The contests are the Class yell Competition, Modern Dance Competition, the

Barako Gay, search for Mr. and Ms. Acquiantance and the A capella competition.

AILA: To enlighten us on the criteria for judging, may we call on/ we will be enlightening

you on the criteria for judging. Let us start with the ----

(take turns on reading the criteria)

AILA: Right at this part, we will now start the Class yell competition. Let us give it up for

the Grade 11 Excellence.

JOYCE: What an amazing performance! Now, let us proceed to the next group, the Grade

11 Leadership.

AILA: woow that is an electrifying performance I might say. And now we will now give the

stage to our third group, the Grade 12 Service.

JOYCE: An absolutely amazing performance! And now, for our last but definitely not the

least group, here is the Grade 12 Perseverance.

AILA: woow that is truly an energetic performance. Alright, since we’ve already started

the party with a blast, why not take the fun to the next level?

JOYCE: you’re right partner because right at this moment we will now give you the

candidates for the Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance 2018!

AILA: wow! Now this year has surely got it in for us. As we witness our mesmerizing

candidates, I bet it will be so difficult to select the winners.

JOYCE: Exactly partner! Now, the party isn’t even at its full swing as we go on with the

program.

AILA: I agree with you on that. So let us now proceed on the next competition for the

mean time- the modern dance competition

JOYCE: let us not keep our audience waiting because we will now start with group no. 1

(series of praise words, calling each group ) Grade 11 Excelllence, Leadership, Service,

Perseverance.

AILA: What a blast! Now, let us take a break from all the dancing and stuff

JOYCE: And now, to allure us with her amazing voice, put your hands together for Kyelle

Marasigan

AILA: Such an incredible performance! At this point, we will now move on with the

presentation of candidates on their Coachella outfits.

JOYCE: Look at how eye-catching their outfits are, I believe that this year’s Mr. and Ms.

Acquaintance is absolutely amazing.

AILA: I couldn’t agree with you more. They truly look charming and they give off that

Coachella vibe.
JOYCE: Absolutely partner. But I think the next competition will be way different than the

other.

AILA: Definitely. Anyway, let us move on to the probably most-awaited competition of this

event.

JOYCE: let us now give a round of applause to the candidates for the Ms. Barako Gay.

AILA: (few praises) since we have two pageants, this event wouldn’t be complete without

the most terrifying part of the competition-the question and answer portion.

JOYCE: may we call on the candidates and the Student Council Representatives to

facilitate the portion.

AILA: a while ago, we witnessed an amazing intermission number. Now, we are going to

witness another number from Nina Marquez. A round of applause everyone.

JOYCE: after a series of dancing, and pageants, we’ll now be moving on to the last part

of the program-the a capella competition

AILA: seems like this will be a battle of the best singers out there.

JOYCE: Now let us call on the contestant number 1 Grade 11 Excellence

(series of praises and each group)(11 Leadership, 12 Service, 12 Perseverance)

AILA: this is one eventful day, right partner?

JOYCE: I couldn’t agree more partner. This just proves that Senior High School Students

are talented, fun and energetic.

AILA: with that, let us move forward to awarding ceremony.

May we call on ------------ to award the certificate/put sash/crown/ etc.

FOOD: Now, with all the exciting events in the program, I believe we deserve a

break to absorb all the fun within. It is now time for us to have our dinner. (if)

- It will be awarded to candidates who best exemplify during their dance production.

Our recipient is none other than candidate no.---

- Our next award will be given to the candidate whose beauty and charm surprise

us on their chic and brisk casual clothes. And our winners are none other than---

- This next award will be given to the candidate who does not only have the beauty

of their Coachella outfit but also have the ability to carry their costume with poise

and confidence our best in ----- is none other than---

- I hate to see these lovely candidates suffer the suspense some moment longer.

Lets see who is going home with the glory and be hailed as the new title holder.

JOYCE: This has been a successful event of beauty, intelligence, talent and persona.

AILA: congratulations to our newly proclaimed Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance. To formally

close the program, may we call on our Student Council President, Mr. Joeshua Caballes

for the closing remarks.
