Field Observation Report: Solterra Training

Will completed fill material density testing training under Trainer 1 on the Solterra Filing 16 Infrastructure project. The objectives were to observe Will as he took nuke tests, evaluated soil beneath tests, obtained samples, completed check points, and reported results to the contractor. Will properly completed all tasks and filled out required paperwork. Trainer 1 was satisfied with Will's proficiency in density testing procedures.

OBJECTIVES: COMPLETE FILL M/D TESTING TRAINING


 Observe Will as he completes the project requirements. Ask questions and check that he
properly:
o Checks out and transports nuke gauge I had gauge but showed him how to
lock up the gauge
o Takes nuke test good
o Evaluates soil beneath nuke test good, showed Will how to pop the hole
and check the soil to verify he’s using the right proctor
o Obtains sample for check point, hand drive (if required for project) yes for one
point
o Completes field check point yes good
o Reports results to contractor good – communicated with operator after
each test, also met Tracy with Brookfield
o Fills out paperwork yes and Will will be the one submitting the paperwork.
