To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to you in support of Tyler Walker's endeavors towards academic and professional work. I have known Tyler
for the last year through his involvement with the Cornell Annual Fund's Student Phoning Program. Our program raises
support from alumni to benefit Cornell, in addition to reconnecting Cornell's alumni with the life of the university. Tyler
entered the program as a University Representative (caller) and after three strong semesters, was promoted to be a
member of the student Management Team. When selecting student managers, we look for callers who have previous
leadership experience or potential, strong interpersonal skills, and a sincere passion and commitment to our mission as
an organization. Tyler has always made an excellent impression as a representative of our program and of Cornell
University as a whole.

As Tyler's direct supervisor, I've sincerely appreciated and valued Tyler's contribution towards our team. In particular,
Tyler is our resident technical expert. Amongst our 33 calling stations, we come across a myriad of technical difficulties
be it software, internet connectivity, or our calling hardware. While other managers have their default troubleshooting
techniques, Tyler—when time allots—dives deeper into the issue and regularly identifies the solution to our problem.
From there, he effectively communicates with the others to ensure the problem is resolved quickly in the future.

As a student manager, Tyler oversees 135 students—many of which are his peers and sometimes close friends. The
challenge of mentoring and in some cases, disciplining one's peers is often a struggle for student managers. However,
Tyler's kind personality has suited him well for leading a team. Callers genuinely respect him and his approachable, but
confident demeanor. He especially excels in building one on one relationships and he often befriends the more
introverted caller(s) who may feel otherwise overlooked.

What I admire most about Tyler is his humility and willingness to learn and grow. After working with over 200 students
in the last year, I recognize this is a stand-out trait for his age group. He takes his responsibilities and actions very
seriously and can recognize his weaknesses. While he has self-initiative, he's also comfortable asking for feedback as he
genuinely wants to be the best he can be. He isn't afraid of new challenges and loves to learn along the way.

Based on the skills I have observed through my work with Tyler, I believe he would be an excellent candidate for any
employer or institution. If you have further questions about Tyler or my recommendation, please do not hesitate to
contact me at the email address below.

Sincerely,

Caitlin Brinckerhoff
