1.

GIRL enters her warm yellow colored

room with minimalist furnishings.

She sits down at her rundown off

colored desk and pulls out a notebook
and a pen. She starts to write.

GIRL

(Beat)

My thoughts manifest themselves when my pen glides across these pages. Everything becomes

real.

GIRL takes a deep breath, then continues

GIRL

Be it cursive, capitalization, or dreams…they show up.

She places her pen down.

GIRL

(Nervously)

My thoughts manifest themselves when my pen glides across these pages. Everything becomes

real. Be it cursive, capitalization, or dreams…they show up.

She picks her pen up and begin to write again

A crack of thunder and lightning is heard

2.

GIRL

Creativity. Imagination. Good and bad. Perfect harmony. Thunder and lightning gives me the

boost I need to create and imagine good things and bad things. Bad things aren’t always a

negative. A voice of reason, maybe?

GIRL stands up from desk and drops her pen on the floor.

She addresses the audience

GIRL

The good thing is that you are here because of me.

(Beat)

The bad thing is that you are stuck here with me. Forever. Words and pages are forever my dear

friends and nothing can end their existence…unless—

GIRL sits back down at the desk and pulls out a lighter

GIRL

(Smiling)

Unless, they burn.

GIRL throws lighter on the floor in front of her.

3.

GIRL

Anyone of you can take the lighter from the ground to end my words.

She scans the audience for any takers

GIRL

(Beat)

Well… My thoughts manifest themselves when my pen glides across these pages. Everything

becomes real. Be it cursive, capitalization, or dreams…they show up. Even you. Creativity.

Imagination. Good and bad. Perfect harmony. Thunder and lightning gives me the boost I need to

create and imagine good things and bad things. Bad things aren’t always a negative. A voice of

reason, maybe? The good thing is that you are here because of me. The bad thing is that you are

stuck here with me. Forever. Words and pages are forever my dear friends and nothing can end

their existence…unless—unless, they burn. Anyone of you can take the lighter from the ground

to end my words--

(Beat.)

Except, I wrote the beginning, middle, and I know how it ends. My words are immortal, so am I.

Forever. You will stay with me always…signed, Love.

GIRL closes the notebook, stares into the

audience with a deranged smile.
