ESTABLISHMENT OF WOMEN INCUBATION

Background:
Islamia College Peshawar, a symbol of academic excellence in the region, is a
unique symbol of architectural façade and gorgeous buildings and attract tourists from
all over the country and abroad. Being the breeding ground of young professionals of
the region, this great seat of learning is a heaven where diamonds are skimmed since
1913.
True to the cause of its foundation, this University is primarily meant to be a
place for carrying out research. In line with modern needs, it is striving to create a link
between academia and industry, thereby creating new opportunities for its graduates.
Islamia College Peshawar is also working to create Entrepreneurial Ecosystem so that
its graduates instead of looking for employment shall embark on their entrepreneurial
journey. They will facilitate and mentored by faculty-members and entrepreneurs from
the market. They will also be facilitated by giving them grants for their Start-ups from an
Endowment Fund to be specially created for the purpose.

SUPPORT TO BE PROVIDED BY ISLAMIA COLLEGE, PESHAWAR:

Following support can be provided by Islamia College Peshawar:
Short-Term Plan:
 Space for establishing Help Desk and Incubation Centre for Women
Entrepreneurs
 Provision of mentors from faculty
 Strong linkages with industry and successful entrepreneurs
 Ensuring availability of Power, Internet and Security 24/7
 United Bank Limited (UBL) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) are located within
premises of the university. Islamia College Peshawar maintains a very cordial
relationship with them. They will be requested to establish Help Desk for Women
Entrepreneurs and also facilitate them for opening account.
 In addition to this, we have established liaison with Non-Profit Micro-Finance
Institutions like Akhuwat and they can be requested to provide financial support
to Women Entrepreneurs.
 We can arrange Business Plan Competition where all women and Trans Gender
Entrepreneurs can pitch their Business Plans and the best ones can be selected
 for Incubation.
 Preference will be given to female candidates while filling the positions at Women
Incubation Centre, provided that they fulfil the requirements.
 If support is available, we will make agreements with leading course-providers so
that Incubatees study the best available syllabus for Incubators and Accelerators.

Long-Term Plan:
Having obtained consent of the Vice-Chancellor, we can provide the following
facilities:
 A plot measuring 70’ x 66’ has been earmarked for construction of Women
Incubation Centre.
 Proposed building design will have the following facilities:
- Incubators for 20 Incubatees 1
- Accelerators for 10 Incubatees 1
- Lecture Halls: 2
- Conference/Meeting Room: 1
- Manager Office 1
- Assistant Manager Office 2
- Offices/Rooms 4
- Help Desk for Shepreneurs 1
- Rest Rooms 2
- Wash Rooms 6

Plot is located in the Main Building at a very secure place having guarded
entry and backup power, 24/7 Internet Facility powered by 1 Terabit Internet
connectivity.
