Projects : Removal of hexavalent chromium from industrial waste water using eucalyptus
leaf based adsorbent

In the present work an effort has been made to study the suitability of
eucalyptus leaf based adsorbent for purification of ground waste water containing
hexavalent chromium.varius concentration of chromium content were adsorb in
varying adsorbent concentration,in the study the ph of the solution as well as the
residence time was also varied to obtain the optimum condition. photo calorimetric
test sujjest that complete removal of hexavalent chromium is possible by using
high adsorbent concentration on a solution of 5 ppm effluent at an optimum ph of
2.the most suitable residence time at which equilibrium was obtained was at 24
hours
