What is Barangay immersion program? It is a program wherein
Police trainees deals with the people of the community as part of
their effort to enhance the image of the Philippine National Police.
They are dispersed in the different barangays in the city to initiate
several projects which benefited the whole barangay and its
residents.In our case, we were dispersed in Sitio Miranda last July 2
and ended on July 5. Four days of experience dealing with them was
quite tiring one but thinking of how many lives that we touch
seemed a priceless happiness.

CONCLUSION
As students of ISOC CL 02-2012 group 3, we were given the
privileged to immerse to different communities to develop our
different capabilities. Moreover, ISOC students have gained
knowledge and experience not only in combat skills, but also with
their interactions skills. In line with this, the residents of the
barangay were very thankful and overwhelmed for the great
opportunity that we had given to them like giving them ample of
knowledge from day 1 to day 4.Hence, we appreciated their utmost
cooperation with us to have a smooth flow in spite of their busy
schedules, and we really made ends meet. Overall, barangay
immersion program was successful because of enormous coordination
and participation.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
Recommendation
Planning should be done a head of time to avoid haphazard work.
Financial preparedness should be done as it is the reality that cannot
be avoided during the immersion. You have to cater the needs of the
group in carrying out of activities.The series of lectures should be
relevant to the present situation of the country and must be in line
with the expertise of the PNP. Every policeman should indeed
undergo the immersion process to fully realized the essence of
responsibility and accountability of the PNP towards his fellowmen.
During the Barangay Immersion, ISO CL. 02-2012, Group 3 had
successfully carried out the assigned task in Sitio Miranda, Damilag,
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. During the 1st day, the group found it
hard to settle one convenient area to do the series of lectures as well
as to group the community members.Financial constraints were also
encountered, fortunately everything fell into proper place. It was
made possible due to the cooperation of local government unit and
the guardian organization.
