Parts of the Eyes

I. OBJECTIVES
1. Students will be able to identify the parts of the eyes.
2. The student will be able to define the function of each part of the eye.
3. And at the end of the discussion the student will be able to label the parts of the eyes.

Teacher will ask the pupils: If you want to see the beautiful things around, what will you see? How

 Pupil: is the black hole in the eye, which takes the light

 Iris: is responsible for giving the eye its color. The iris
shrinks the pupil when it is bright, and widens the pupil

 Sclera: is the white part of the eye, which protect the
inside of the eye and allows to move their eyes to finds
objects.
 Cornea: is the outer covering of the eye, which protects
and prevents harmful substances from entering the
eyes.
 Lens: sit behind the pupil, and it allows the eye to
change shape so it can focus on the object that the
pupil takes in.
 Retina: is in the back of the eye and contains rods and
cones.
 Optic Nerve: transmit impulses to the brain from the
retina at the back of the eye.
