Foreword
This European Standard was prepared by ECISS/TC 29/SC 9, the Secretariat of which is held by BSI.
Although the subcommittee did not meet, the following countries reached a posltive decision during the CEN PQ procedure:
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the
United Kingdom.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by
endorsement, and conflicting national standards withdrawn, by April 1994 at the latest.
In accordance with the CENKENELEC Internal Regulations, the following countries are bound to implement this European
Standard:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway,
Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

mining the ability of metallic tubes of circular cross section The end of a tube or a test piece cut from a tube is flattened

the relevant product standard.

10 mm, nor more than 100 mm. The edges of the test piece
may be rounded by filing or other methods. 8.2 The test report shall include at least the following
information:
NOTE: Non-rounded or unchamfered edges are
permissible, provided the test results are not a) reference to this European Standard;
adversely affected. b) identification of the test piece;
